• The Odeon – the small concert hall where political meetings and performances were held.

• Curetes Street – one of Ephesus’s main thoroughfares, lined with statues, shops, and fountains.

• The Fountain of Trajan – dedicated to Emperor Trajan, showcasing beautiful Roman engineering.

• The Temple of Hadrian – a marvel of Roman architecture with intricate reliefs.

• The Celsus Library – the symbol of Ephesus and one of the most photographed ruins in the world.

• The Great Theatre – with seating for 25,000, this was the largest outdoor theater in the ancient world.

As you walk through the ruins, your guide will share fascinating stories about ancient Ephesus — from its role in early Christianity to its golden age as a bustling Roman metropolis.

Temple of Artemis

Continue to the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Although only a few columns remain today, your guide will vividly describe the temple’s former grandeur — once a colossal sanctuary dedicated to the Greek goddess Artemis, renowned for its beauty and architectural perfection.

You’ll have time to take photos and learn about the temple’s role in Ephesus’s rise as a religious and cultural center.

Optional Visit to Local Handicraft Center

Following your tour, you’ll have a brief opportunity to visit a local carpet-weaving or leather workshop — a cultural stop to see Turkish craftsmanship in action. (Optional)

Return to Kusadasi or Selcuk
